Which rubber hose ? line from the tank to the carb? it might have dried out and cracked through the storage period,
Bike will run hot for a bit after coming out of a year of storage - just keep the rpm's a bit lower and once the lubricants get all absorbed again and the fresh gasoline cleans out the carb it should settle back into the familiar states
Keep the rubber side down
